Well yeah, he reckons the US defeat and loss of prestige would be the end of Western capitalism, they would have lost all credibility as a leader and would be a laughing stock. I was just watching a program about the Afghan war and the sudden end of the USSR after a humiliating defeat in Afghanistan (and I think Chernobyl).
