I’ve read the article, definitely detrimental to the share price. ASB will be shorted hard with this negative sentiment. Might even see multi year lows.
Overall I think the congress man just wants the contracts to go to the larger ship builder already based on Florida and reduce competition in all areas of the Naval Defence Budget within the U.S.
Hard sell medium term and for the construction of 2 T-ATS vessels (T-ATS 11 and 12) in October 2021 if the contracts don’t get revised before June 30 for the cost inflationary increase ASB will loose $41.2 million on those contracts if the Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REAs) remain outstanding.
