well its obvious, the introduction of nuclear subs into the Australian navy its being planned by useless politicians again.
Without doubt imo only i agree with the buy 3 virginia class with a further option of 2.Total 5.
This is complicated enough but critical we have such a fleet.Helping with production capability in the US makes sense, embedding Australian engineers in the US production imperative, embedding Australian crew on virginia nuclear subs critical all good.
Extending the submarine maintenance facility in SA to cater for the virginia class length for maintenance makes sense.
Can they make their stupid minds up WA,SA or port kembla or all 3?
    All good imo only.
But then these idiots suggest we are going to manufacture UK nuclear subs in Australia after i'm dead and surely by then the subs will be replaced by drone subs in areas of dangerous operation.
With govt subsidy we can make the steel in Australia for maintenance as in hitting the sea floor, education including nuclear engineers etc all good.why suggest we r going to have 2 different nuclear subs in 2050 ,complete fools imo.
Leave it at the 5 virginia class and develop sub drone technology and satellite sub detection etc etc and stop making the complicated process of introducing nuclear subs more complicated than it needs to be imo only..
ps the US has recently had a serious issue with quality control
