Their Haggan permit will permanently expire within 15 months I believe, and their only hope is to convert their exploration permit into an exploitation permit, ie, a mining permit.
Even if the uranium mining ban is lifted, it seems the municipal veto will still shut down a uranium mining permit. However, according to the letter of the law they should be able to mine everything else and send the uranium to a tailings facility or other permanent repository so long as it's never used for its radiological properties and in that case, the veto won't apply. So they should be able to get a mining permit for everything else.
The overturning of the uranium mining ban shouldn't affect their mining permit application because they can't have uranium in there anyway.
So the question is, what are they waiting for?
