You are correct. The market doesnt care, and will value a commodity based on multiple factors. Current resource base, current production levels, debt, tenement holdings with unexplored prospective ground, exploration to increase resource base equipment and milling capacity, transport as well last but not least the management skills to pull it all together. This is far from a full list. When I look for an investment, I want capital growth with an increasing SP. A dividend is a bonus. Most money made is by trading, buying in the lows, and selling in the highs. You just gotta get the timing right. Understanding and reading the markets direction as well as world events will assist there. No company will guarantee a dividend payment will be made. And a note for Stretguy, I have had AMI since 2011. When everyone was selling sub 5c I was buying.
