Difficult to compare companies in different countries due to the legal jurisdictions, political and social climate and the cultural expectations of each socio grouping. I can name possibly 20 companies making more money than AMI each year, but cannot be compared because of the above. In addition, it's very difficult to compare miners against other industries where production costs, investing in facilities and equipment, as well as shipping etc vary greatly.
The gaming industry alone worldwide makes enormous profits if you know where to look, as does the Chinese tourist zero sum market.
