Erm. . . gold has been getting a fair bit of mainstream media play for a while now - and notably in the last little while. Note how frequently NCM gets a nod during market wrap ups nowadays. Interesting because gold is a tiny sector, and mum and dads are far more likely to follow the big miners and financials.

Most of my colleagues, friends and fam know I play gold stocks and it's surprising how often people will have read one thing or another and will want to discuss.

By the time the manstream media is all over something it's usually too late!
