I have started a new thread on this - I hope others wont mind ...... its all got a bit unwieldy more me.
I note others are shorting the asx 200 ...... guess i'm a bit slow to catch on, but with so many stocks now going ex dividend and their ex dvd. price dropping by the price of the dvd + franking credits, all things being equal, the asx 200 has to go down to some degree....... and then with the reversed momentum down that causes a few others to leave the market temporarily also ..
for example - I have been long IAG on the ordinary market, it went ex dvd today and the share price fell approx. 5% (that equates to the final dvd + franking credits)......
