I can buy a porsche for $200K US stateside or $450K Aud locally.

Most car prices here are almost twice their US prices.
..and it goes down the scale too, its just amazing how far out of synch we have become. And fuel there recently dropped to under $US3 a gallon = about $A 90 cents/l.

In my post above, I mentioned that there was no mobile phone law in Arizona. My AZ friend has just corrected me, they have recently brought in a rule that in Coconino county car phones must only be used with an earpiece (!), but in Flagstaff the civic fathers would have none of that so there is still no restriction there at all.
