I think calling the current government "a strange bunch" in regards to their oil/gas polices is very mild indeed. Asian countries with their ever increasing demand for gas must think we are stupid or nuts maybe both. Indonesia's target is to double their gas production by 2030, while the Australian government wants gas production to stop as soon as possible.
