Trying to safe guard the economy from deflation and make the $A more competitive. It is a stimulus monetary policy. Need now given the much lower rates of US, UK, EU and Japan.
The nation's biggest lenders –CBA, ANZ, NAB, WBC – will not be passing the same cut to mortgage holders; only half at best. Banks seeking to maintain Return on Equity to shareholders and a beauty of dividend yields. Suggest a #BUY strategy.
