I remember when party leaders used to say that they would put downward pressure on interest rates like they could strong arm the reserve bank or had some control over interest rates. What happened to that? Maybe they realised we all thought they were idiots for thinking that we were idiots that had faith in those type of ridiculous statements.
I think at about that time we were paying about 7% on our loan.
