thanks Homey....I saw the presentation slide....it alludes to Telstra hosting the backhaul as it did with the 3G....could it simply mean 4G comm cards given 3G is now superseded?

I agree why would a new communication be introduced altogether when one is already working (3G) and is easily scalable given existing infrastructure.

my understanding is the Ausnet customer base is widely dispersed even more so with those that don't have a connection at the moment meaning RF mesh isn't appropriate let alone how costly and timely setting up a new private network would be.
