Everybody knew the baby bonus thing would be a disaster. What a ignorant arrogant policy that was from somebody that no idea about what would happen and refused to accept the opinions of others. The result was a whole lot of young women getting pregnant to get the money, two of my dole bludging nieces included. A lot of these young girls dumped their babies on grand parents. I saw this happen to quite a few grand parents and just perpetuating more dole recipients and unwanted kids.
Is there anybody still left that promoted that as a good idea that wants to own up to the fact.
