Aus I beg to differ: I've thought about Ce production plenty.
The COP is to produce a suite of REs. We can't pick and choose: the suite of RE in the concentrate determines the output. It makes no sense to argue that Ce (or La or any other) costs $x/kg for Lynas to produce.
Let's assume we don't sell any of our Cerium (or give it away). Then the revenue takes about a 10% hit. Not welcome but no huge deal. In revenue terms it roughly cancels the increase in the last week or 2 of the other RE Lynas produces.
The La market is looking OK at the moment.
