Hi, Putting aside morality, and or , politics , is personal investment in Israeli companies a good bet? For someone like me , who has the view that Israel has done irreparable damage to its reputation with its behaviour , the answer is no. If I was planning to invest , I would be looking only at companies that were relocatable and able to quickly cut ties. But , of course , I would want a substantial premium to cover the increased sovereign risk [ sanctions , boycotts , right up to destruction of the state]. Follow the money , Israel , on its present course , is likely to face poor growth over the next 10 years at least. Most of the world will be reluctant to have as much to do with them as they have in the past, regardless of their attitude to its present policies.
