    Here in WA. Northern wheatbelt down to the central wheatbelt is looking at a potential bin buster. Full moisture profiles, very warm growing season, big biomass buildup. Risk that now presents is potentially an untimely frost. Fingers crossed on that one.

    Central Wheatbelt to the south had a later start but likely have reasonable soil moisture levels. Some of the other posters may be able to confirm. Esperance was late too but has been receiving reasonable rains.

    Nitrogen supplies have been stretched but have just met demand which has been large.

    Where to for grain futures? Have been encouraged to see prices hold up despite the global meltdown. Rice futures have been going ballistic as a large percentage of the Japanese rice crop has been deemed unsuitable to consume. We also know that the supply of noodle wheat will run out before the Western Australian wheat crop comes off. Some underlying bullish factors under the grains ...
