    The SPs of Evolution and Northern Star are still rising. MLX up too. Also IGO.

    Yes indeed Shimmer, it would be a fabulous time in which to hit a motherlode at Contessa.

    This is from the last JORC Table in the 'geology' section. It's my underlining btw.

    " The geology of the project area comprises the northern margin of the Proterozoic Yerrida Basin.

    The geology forms two discrete units;

    #Proterozoic sediments of the Yerrida Basin that are prospective for sediment-hosted copper and base metal mineralisation in black shale and carbonate sequences, with evidence of secondary and primary copper mineralisation in the Thaduna district.

    #Archaean basement rocks on the northern margin of the Yerrida Basin. The basement-sediment contact trends east-west and Lodestar’s exploration has identified extensive gold anomalism adjacent to this contact. The basement consists of granite and fringing mafic to intermediate and ultramafic rocks that are not widely exposed at surface. The mafic-ultramafic rocks and the adjacent granite host the gold mineralisation and are thought to be Archaean in age and similar to the sequences that host the lode gold deposits in the Plutonic and Baumgarten greenstone belts"

    This map is from www.ga.cov.au - as is this narrative:

    'Gold occurs, and is mined, in all states .......with about 43% of resources occurring in Western Australia (Figure 3.13). The Yilgarn Craton in Western Australia is Australia's premier gold province with major Archean greenstone-hosted deposits such as Kalgoorlie, Granny Smith and Boddington. ......... The discovery of the Tropicana deposit (5 million ounces of gold) in the Albany-Fraser Belt of Western Australia highlights the potential for major new gold discoveries in Australia. Ongoing exploration suggests that Tropicana may be the first discovery in a new gold province.'

    Contessa might be just so-so or it may be nothing much at all, but then again it may be a beauty. In a following post I will try to be specific with the aid of published LSR material.
