we havent seen the AUD fall yet, really. its just a tiny move so far.

the USD/US rates/US markets can all go in diff directions, but a stronger USD is generally from rising rates or the anticipation of, and US markets fall in anticipation of rate rises, meanwhile fall when the USD rises because their foreign income falls, plus their shares are more expensive on an international basis. Pretty general stuff.

Really depends whether you think they will cut the money printing or not. the underlying US economy is generally considered as pretty weak and not something that will take off any time soon. At least not without new industries/technologies etc to invest in and grow.
