ABC Online... The Australian dollar has rallied to its highest level since the currency floated in 1983.
Shortly before 6:00pm (AEDT) it climbed above 98.8 US cents after the latest rise in jobs smashed expectations and added to the case for an interest rate rise.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) says almost 50,000 new jobs were created in September, well ahead of market forecasts. -----------------------------------
Now I am not going to say this is because of good economic management by our federal government as that would make me the same as the Coalition posters who claimed their last government was responsible for the good times. I wonder if they are now going to say this government is responsible for the current boom...hahaha doubt it as they are too one eyed for that.
