re: current account deficit??? does it matter I believe it is not a big problem at all.

There are very large investments being made in our resources sector that will yield big results in years to come. I think that the fact that foreigners are investing in Australia is a great endorsement of our economic management, private and public. We as Australians stand to gain as our industry increases its productive capacity and our standard of living will increase. The same can be said for the US.
