re: current account deficit??? does it matter what about just valuing the whole country ie in the ground resource values, infrastructure etc etc & sell the whole thing as a going concern (Macquarie Bankd would run the slide rule over it for sure !!!) - caveat that buying entity be Oz domiciled for taxationpurposes (continuing income stream to run the place)
and then split the proceeds between every man woman & child citizen (shareholder)
Because there are only 20m of us we would all end up multi millionaires & if u couldn't find somewhere to invest that windfall in then u deserve to perish!!
