yes, ubers - self drives soon or taxis if we wish to use the name - but, taxis as we know them are history
are in a different category to something like small delivery vans
the former does high miles every day - the latter does low miles every day
removable batteries for ubers etc would be highly advantageous - UNLESS there's very high speed charging - which will probably come soon anyway at a guess.
for the really big transports - this removable thing looks really really good - I can imagine say an island ferry - where you can have batteries ready at both ends - that'd work well if they can't have enough on board for return trips
all of this kind of thing depends on the individual routes - exactly the same as buying a truck or a ferry to suit the job one has - with diesel or turbine or whatever
you don't buy a mini cooper to deliver lead ingots
you'd need at least an 'S' for that --
IMO - industry is going to take like a duck to water with electric - it's hands and heels above diesel- as long as you get the right gear for the right job
torque, quiet, vibration, maintenance, - pretty much all of it - electric is all over fossil
