I was a Willowbank when it first opened for the Summer Nats.......a few decades back now.

Thought I had a quick Xu1 (mid 13's a the time), only to watch the railers do it in an (at the time) Australian record just under 4 seconds...

At the time you could walk down to about 1/2 track. .......crap your pants as they 'flew' by.

A few years later some guy had a big off at that very point & they shut down the public from going down track that far

Re the formula that is the minimum theoretical requirements, you also have to overcome other forces working against you.
