RE: all this talk of massive costs, of home ownership..
And it is a massive cost, especially when you consider that "the capacity to enjoy ones self decreases with age" Why put a nine to one earnings rope around your neck, just when you can enjoy life. If it's a three/four to one earnings rope, okay, then there will still be enough rope to enjoy life - which is what buying property used to be all about i.e. enjoy property - enjoy life.
