1. I would rather own and live in my own property , make my own decisions re lifestyle , kids , and not be beholden to paying rent. This takes committment and hard work . Do it , in the long run you wont regret it. 2. Owning property is a long term investment, ride the up and downs , it doesnt matter until you sell. 3. We all need somewhere to live. 4. Spread your investments over a range of portfolios , property , shares , etc. keep a finger in a lot of pies. 5. I came here from London 27 yrs ago , and this country is without doubt the BEST place in the World to live .. and ive seen a fair bit of the world. Some people just dont realise it!! China, India ,- Asia in General, -the middle classes are growing . More $$, more millionaires , more aspirations etc . I strongly believe that many of them will come here to live over the next 20 years and on , and this will be a significant driver in the property market going forward.
