If that is what her husband has said, then he is doing his wife absolutely no favours. Perhaps he wants her to stay in jail until after the trial.
He is better off just getting a Thai lawyer to meet with the police chief and finding out how much it will cost to get her release on "bail" so that she can get out the country on the next flight.
