I weld for fun, motorsport etc., last night I started a 6 week course for TIG welding so I can improve my technique.

The lecturer said that b/c welding is perceived as an unpalatable job, no one wants to do it.

In the mean time he flies to Malaysia and China to train welders in their hundreds.

We cant all be lawyers. Some one actually has to do the work, like real work that requires real skill, not just driving a mine truck. Thank God I'm not in business looking for motivated workers.
