I am paying 300 to 400 dollars for a pair of shoes in the shop where I have been buying for 30 years. "Florshem" I think. Shoes are made in India or Spain. For this sort of money we can make it in Australia. We can have a factory making shoes. But no as soon as factory makes money comes in union. They will improve workers pay and conditions to such extend that factory becomes profitless and shuts down. Back to import. That is the story of OZ
