People who talk down a stock generally are talking about company prospects rather than willing anyone to fail or lose their job. Sometimes it comes down to what company directors have represented themselves and their company as in the past. You talk up someone who is concerned not for your job, not for the population of WA or Australia but for the shareholders of his company and himself. Someone who has been convicted by the federal court of misleading investors and frankly, played fast and loose with the truth for a long time.
