    US rents -

    Methodology
Figures were released by the U.S. Census in April 2013. "Gross rent" is the monthly rent plus the estimated average monthly cost of utilities (electricity, gas, water, sewer) and fuel (oil, coal, kerosene, wood, etc.). The U.S. Census considers households "burdened" if their gross rent amounts to more than 35% of household income. The top 20 MSAs are displayed.

the highest 'GROSS' rent in the US in 2011 was $1,460 - PER MONTH!

The factual statement was the methodolgy part where their measure of Gross rents is different to our measure of Net rent, which the poster was trying to compare..

now i gave 2011 'gross monthly' of $1,460 as an example of the different between. just because you were shock by the difference you didnt believe me and demanded a link, source. all you had to do was google US rental rates or something and you would have gotten some similar stat from another source, why would you need that exact source?

Figures were released by the U.S. Census in April 2013 - there as the source for the factual mention on methodology..
