Michael, totally agree. I see the same thing every day. The people who worked so hard to accumulate wealth can't enjoy it.
My parents are case in point that they didn't even make it to retirement alive due to how hard they worked. Never took a holiday in over 40 years as they wanted to be a good example of what can be done if people knuckle down and get on with it.
I don't agree with this as we should all enjoy what we sew however i guess we all do what were taught naturally.
On the other end of the spectrum, one of my mates bought an investment apartment 2 years ago as his first property, and due to its appreciation he can afford to take a year off work travelling the world. Good on him i say, i would feel to guilty to do that however one day i will :)
