As someone who's looked at more expenses recently and considered downgrading the speed or network providers, in the scheme of things, saving 25%(~$20)/month on what is a critical service to most of us just isn't worth it. I'd rather sacrifice a takeaway meal a month. Broadband just isn't an area where changing providers really saves you a lot, especially if it degrades your quality of service or causes any type of frustration.

A bit different with mobile carriers; going from Telstra to Boost I effectively halved my annual bill. My 2 cents anyway.
