Moondoong; I'm NOT a mouthpiece for the ALP so I've no insights into what Bill Shorten would do! At a state level, there hardly appears to be much difference between the ALP and the Coalition on such matters - our pollies have made an art-form of beating their chests about tougher policing while simultaneously creating evermore useless laws while looking to the stars when parole boards release re-offenders again and again and again and .....
I am bitterly disappointed that the ALP has made such pitiful efforts to bring concerns about matters such as the invasion of privacy to the attention of mainstream Australians. So too with our other political representatives - IMO they're complicit in what I regard as creeping fascism.
