Finding imaginary fault with Australian wool, wheat, seafood, coal, wine, etc. is not a good tactic. Everyone knows out products are good quality. It's the very reason they imported such large quantities in the first place.

The core issue relates to perfectionism. In a culture where everything has to be perfect, one is not permitted to look at one's own stuff ups and be ok with them. Rather than acknowledging that everyone makes mistakes, any hint of error is denied, covered up and projected onto others. If they understood there's nothing wrong with being imperfect and making mistakes, that admitting mistakes is not a weakness but a character strength, this whole thing would never have happened.

So I think Morrison needs to put out the idea that the call for a covid investigation is not a 'blame game'. It's not a tactic to put anyone down. The world has suffered one of its biggest blows ever, and reasonable people want to know how to prevent it happening again.

The optics is just after his US tour, it doesn't get more obvious than that.

We could learn from the EU in dealing with Russia through even more threatening events on Crimea. Scomo tells us we should not be left in a binary decision and yet he is championing that assertion through his decision. Oxymoron?

Currently as both sides digging their heels in, Birmingham is signalling WTO mediation. Can he please comment on the rules based system wrt to our godfather US on TPI, Iran deal and all the other agreements under his watch?
