Don't be ridiculous. Do you think all this happened with out a huge effort from them. They weren't lying on a beach somewhere over the summer break.
They have worked hard to pay their way and did live away from home.
So now students are prostitutes. How many? You are reading to many seedy novels I suspect.
Disadvantaged students are offered a multitude of help with many different scholarships.
The day I see Uni students stop buying drinks down the Uni Bar or Pub I will know they are doing it tough.
