Yes those costs are too high... the Govt has successfully implemented a strategy resulting in the excessive cost of essentials (rent and electricity through Govt policy and taxation settings) while the FTAs have closed around 15% of Aus manufacturing in the last ten years and can be connected with worsening job security, conditions and lower wages for Aus workers as businesses adopt deregulated IR laws and copy IR practices of other nations.

yeah sure we can buy cheaper kettles, but I want our next generation to have a job at whatever level suits 'em.
