At the moment PE is 14.65, which is slightly above the sector, and about 2 points above all ords.
Certainly, a lot of future earnings haven't been factored into the price, so there is blue sky potential there. In a way this conservatism makes it even more attractive, as there is no bubble happening, waiting for burst.
As a blue chip, it's hard to go past it: good, stable management, producer of the world's most in-demand commodities such as oil, copper, iron ore, uranium.
And,Big. With a capital B. The world's BIGGEST miner.
