You get all kinds of analysts. Bell Potter's old analyst as you suggested had a whopping $18 target. The new analyst who has been covering the stock since end 2013 has a current target of $8.91 which is perhaps more believable. The fact is that compared to a US broking firm where there would be 6-7 healthcare analysts covering different sub sectors of healthcare, in Australia given the much smaller size you would find one or maximum two covering healthcare stocks across sectors. So in Australia you may have one analyst covering biotech, medical devices, services etc. I agree with the reporter..there are very few good biotech analysts here.
