ha ha surely noone buys this?? What is the risk of the opposition leader being there at the same time? He is not the deputy leader. If Gillard got caught/shot/whatever in a warzone Abbott doesn't become leader.

He has realised how bad it looked so he has finalised some plans to visit that he loosely mentioned doing ages ago. tryng to spin it is so obvious.

The public are not as dumb as Abbott seems to think/treat them like. Just like him saying he only backed out of the pairing arangement because it was "consitutionally unsound". Whereas it is rediculously obvious to everyone that he backed out of it because he lost, and that if he won it would somehow be consitutionally ok then...

Can only do this for so long until the public give up on him.
