Really.............it's such a shame that Australia has mining revenue.

This has perpetuated wasteful, pork barreling, voter manipulating Government when we should have been saving our surpluses, reducing the tax burden, reducing the size of government and letting hard working Australians enjoy the benefit of their labors while leaving those who would sponge off the country to make an effort to help themselves.

The next illusion after the mining windfall, the great Australian home pyramid is collapsing and with it, the imagined wealth of most hard working families.

We are not isolated from the world and we are about to join the latter stages of the GFC with all our reserves wasted and a Government bent upon retaining power by any means and no idea about responsible financial management.

At least we know what to expect if we were not in denial.
