the government both sides can't buy anything not to mention build anything,submarine corp should be privatised,then we would have companies like Austral and sub corp both very capable builders with leading technology.
Imo what the govt is doing is correct,tell sub corp we will not pay any price for the subs,hopefully one way or another sub corp will be able to provide a more competitive product.
Austral builds for the US navy,its obvious why they and sub corp are not competitive building in australia for the australian navy.

ps at some stage hopefully sooner,mainstream media will join 60 minutes and robert gotliebsien and pressure the govt of this apparently dudd F35 especially if its capabilities don't compare at all with the F22 and sukoi t50.
ps hopefully subs will be built in australia one or two per year as it seems to me for once we could be on the right track building a defence vessel with leading capabilities.
