My very simplistic view of why rates here should be cut is that most other economies have had a cut since we last had one including NZ that has had at least two cuts this year.Also our primary producers deserve a break in interest costs from our artificially high rates and the value of our exports has fallen sharply as our dollar has gone from sub-50c to over 65c.Our export industry needs a cut to regain their competitive advantage-I don't accept your statement that a cut in rates would lead to a lose of confidence in the economy and also don't accept that it will add to the property boom.
Also I invested in TMS after doing my own research and wasn't influenced by anyone else but yes we both got that one wrong-I'll stick to the miners in future.
