    The Aust Manufacturing Index released today showed an increase in manufacturing activity and the index rose 2.5 units to 51.

    Jacob Geber, a Bloomberg analyst writes



    Todays survey shows companies that are closely linked to the nations housing and resources sectors, such as construction materials makers, led the expansion among manufacturers last month.

    We will hopefully see a positive flow on from this expansion in upcoming reports.
