    Interesting story on ABC AM program about how simple it is to crack into the data stored on chip in the Aust passport.
    Took him 48hrs to write the software and 1 second to read - can be read while passport is still in your pocket.

    Airport security announcement coming out today from fed Govt - sounds like it is more to do with carrying grog and laptop batteries than biometrics and encryption.
