Whoever is captain next, it cant (only ) be smith. Smith has no human skills, he is a cricket savant. Australia could well rethink its captaincy system. I wouldnt be against smith calling the field , but he has no man management and has blind spots to the people he is supposed to lead. The part of smith that makes him so good, his blinkered focus( he is probably on the spectrum ) is the reason he shouldnt be leading. Labuschagne probably is the same. Let them bat imo.
Smith's batting in England on the last ashes tour showed what he can do when he just gets to think about batting. It was almost indestructible batting.
I agree with Healy - Travis head would be a good captain.
