Do you actually believe what the newspapers write. They are always out of date and for every view there is a paper with an opposing view.

Some of the major miners would naturally prefer the juniors to disappear so they can monopolise the io business. But the buyers of io welcome the juniors activities for that reason as diversity of supply means the majors need to be sensible on pricing. Thats why the Chinese and Russians are interested in junior miners. They know that going forward io is black gold and the juniors know if they can prove a resource there will be great demand for the ore. Also given the overseas interest the local majors will want to make sure that the juniors resources dont find their way into overseas hands and will pay a premium to buy out the juniors. They have already recently been caught out by the Russian and Chinese interests buying up and will not want that to continue.

Also Twiggy Forrest, eminent West Australian, seems to indicate that juniors are welcome and that rail and port facilities ought to be able to accomodate them.
