Australia has been quoted as the only modern economy that has had balanced budgets , funded liabilities and government that generally lives within its means
oh.. and 20 year straight years of no recession
on the other hand you have numerous debt laden western European countries with no budget discipline whatsoever
and bucket loads of unemployment
the truth is, when governments spend too much money, they suck the life out of the real economy
that's why Australians are embracing the austere coalition, they don't want to become like basket case European economies
