IMO RSPT calculation is quite complex and details have to be worked out after a conultation phase with industry. I suspect that if the tax was better explained at its launch and the media better briefed on a weekday a more rational debate would have ensued.

DYOR and I am not an accountant so I cannot really offer in depth comments. I did note that the RSPT will be tax deductable for incoem tax purposes. I have not seen this in the media coverage before... Suggests this is far more complex tax situation.
