It appears twelve f****n customers sent small amounts to the phillipines in 3000 transactions. No doubt the small amounts did not alert junior staff to the potential that these customers were paedophiles. Now shareholders are somehow being blamed for all the paedophile activities in the whole world, since the beginning of time. No doubt also the courts will think the same and penalise us billions of dollars. Just where is the fairness in this crap. Just where is the fairness, in the media slamming Westpac for 23 million transactions with the innuendo that the transactions were to paedophiles and terrorists. In fact most if the transactions it appears were overseas pension payments made to australian residents. What a farce the whole thing. When is someone going to step up with the truth. Instead we have sick, namby pamby unreserved apologies from the board.
